"Back to school" is Bayview tradition

BMAGIC's annual Back-to-School Celebration is scheduled for Saturday August 17th from 11am to 3pm at Youngblood Coleman Park located at 1398 Hudson Avenue.

Children and youth, ages 5-18, will receive new backpacks filled with essential school supplies. Participants can also learn about the various services provided by community-based organizations and City agencies in Bayview Hunters Point.

Last year, BMAGIC distributed 2,500 backpacks to local children and youth, and 700 back packs to neighbors in surrounding communities who care about sustaining the health, vitality and safety of communities of color.  More
