Mothers' Day on The Hill

Families who love the Willie Mays Boys and Girls Club on Kiska Road, and friends who support the Club's work, gathered in the Edible Garden on Mothers' Day to celebrate motherhood in many forms ... including Mother Earth.

The event was organized by Monica Bhagwan with Kids' Club Director James Holley.  Groups on hand to share information included Quesada Gardens Initiative, Bee-Cause, Food Guardians, and the Marin County Storm Water Waste Prevention Program.

Kristen and Matt from All Good Pizza serve up healthy food.

Asha enjoys the Bayview sun.

Participants look at the bees Karen brought.

Lady Bugs captured attention.

Jeffrey and Kathy from Quesada Gardens are happy to have fresh greens from the Edible Garden.

Karen from Bee-Cause demystifies the world of bees.

Beautiful greens were harvested from the Edible Garden for participants to take home.

Kristen serves healthy salads.

Monica Bhagwan, who organized the event, introduces special presenters.

The food was a hit with youth and their pets alike.
