"I'm not talking about the Jetsons," said Lena Miller, Co-Executive Director of Hunters Point Family. Lena talked about her vision of the Bayview as a center of green activity, and how the solar oven - which can bake bread exclusively by solar power - is symbolic of movement toward that goal.
The oven was presented yesterday at the Museum of the African Diaspora by PG&E during their Family Day at the museum. The room was filled with Bayview-Hunters Point residents who were there to cheer Lena on and to be part of the festivities.
