Bayview business cited

Early in December, SF Examiner Dan Schreiber reported that a Bayview automotive repair shop had been operating without permits and licenses, and had been creating a public nuisance.

According to SF City Attorney Dennis Herrera, business owner Raul Amilcar Vasquez is in violation of at least six state and local agencies, and has been unresponsive to violation notices. Herrera has filed a complaint in San Francisco Superior Court.

In a press release, Herrera's said that, instead of responding to notices, Vasquez expanded his business "to include unpermitted construction, assorted public nuisances, and illegally leasing unsafe and uninspected residential housing units to tenants."
