Bayview food retailers not on the crawl hope patrons will discover them in other ways. One local business luminary asked if we are seeing the beginning of a neighborhood "foodie divide" with traditional fare on one side and newer concepts on the other.
Several Bayview food favorites will be part of the SF Small Business Week kick-off event, Flavors of San Francisco, on Monday May 14th from 5:30 to 7:30pm at the Metreon's City View Room.
Yvonne's Southern Treats, Frisco Fried and Let's Eat BBQ are expected to participate.
Organizers expect over 1,000 small business owners and community leaders to attend the event, and more than 20 restaurants, catering companies and bars to serve food and drink. Tickets are $10. The Metreon is located at 101 4th Street.
