SF Magazine spots Bayview for Best list

San Francisco Magazine's "Best of the Bay" issue just hit the stands, and Bayview is featured as "Best Neighborhood on the Upswing." Enjoy it here.

Both Talia Salem, who wrote the piece, and Bill McCleod, who took the photographs, spent a good bit of time in the neighborhood. Talia did a whirlwind tour to survey the newest positive indicators of "upswing." Bill stopped by "Just for Us" at Javalencia last month, and then returned to photograph work in the Quesada Garden along with other locations.

Bayview and Hunters Point seem disconnected from the city as a whole to many who live here. Now, featured in a glossy magazine bearing the name "San Francisco," the neighborhood may be back on the map and in the minds of residents city-wide.
