January 15th at 6pm at the Bayview Hunters Point YMCA on Lane at Quesada - Celebrate the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, and support the youth that participated in the Martin Luther King Essay Contest. Hear the winning essays, and enjoy a light dinner after the ceremony. Bonus - Music by Reed Fromer!
Saturday January 19th 11am to 1:30pm at the Martin Luther King Pool on Third at Carroll - What better way to spend the holiday than swimming at the community's pool named for Martin Luther King? While you're there, catch the spirit with gospel singing, see water demonstrations, and help yourself to free food. At 2:30 until 4pm, jump in for some free swimming!
