Survey - Community Preferences about Food and Markets

When it comes to fresh produce and other good foods, there are too few options in the Bayview Hunters Point and Visitacion Valley neighborhoods. If that could change, what kinds of foods and markets would you want?

A 5-minute survey will have a real impact on the quality of life in our diverse and changing neighborhoods. It also automatically enters you in a random drawing for prizes such as:

$20 gift certificate to Rainbow Grocery!

A lovely potted plant from the Quesada Gardens Initiative’s main garden!

Residents and community-based organizations in the Southeast Sector are asking the questions so that we can work with City agencies to bring better food and food retailers here that the community will embrace. We won't know if we're on the right track until we hear from you!

This survey comes from residents and community-based organizations like the BVHP Foundation for Community Improvement, Literacy for Environmental Justice, the Network for Elders, the Quesada Gardens Initiative, and other groups working in collaboration with SEFA. SEFA is the Southeast Food Access working group of the Shape Up SF Coalition led by the Department of Public Health.
