Broadcasting from Beautiful Downtown Bayview!

Why are Mesha, Fernando, and James (QGI Co-Founder) smiling? Because they're sitting at the controls of San Francisco's newest radio station, FM 100.5, emanating from a studio on Third and Quesada.

The SF Village Voice just launched! Station creators hope to strengthen the presence of communities of color in our neighborhood so that we might all continue to benefit from our primary strength: diversity.

Independently-owned Bayview businesses and community-based organizations should contact the station about free public service announcements and other services like simultaneous Spanish and French translation.

Community radio is actively reaching out to youth of color and progressive advocates of all ages to create a spectrum of community-generated radio shows. Training is provided.

For booking shows and interviews, please call Fernando, Radio Station Manager, at 415-822-4732 or 415-504-4764 (cell). You may also contact the station host, meshá Mongé-Irizarry, at 415-595-8251 or iolmisha@cs.com.

Community radio is a project of the Idriss Stelley Foundation.
