Bridgeview resident Ken Butler sends this message:
"I wanted to let you know that my home was broken into on Thursday night 4-26-07, while we slept! Some items were stolen but we are fine. It is a bit scary to think that we were here though. We should probably talk about a neighborhood watch program, if anyone is interested. I've been thinking of that for awhile now. This just motivates me a little more."

Hello Ken,
I am truly sorry that happen to your family. A neighbor watch program would surely help your cause. let me know how we can help.
Ken, what do you think about dedicating some of the time during one of our Bridgeview Garden volunteer days to the neighborhood watch idea? Do you think you could get some of your neighbors to come and participate?
One possibility is to invite Barbara Lynn at SF SAFE (they help with things like this) to talk with us. The 1700 block of Quesada has an informal neighborhood watch as we're organized, in consistent communication, and watching out for each other. Whether you would use SF SAFE or not, the community organizing piece will be critical.
