David Thigpen, a Fellow at Institute for the Future, published an article in the Huffington Post
about changes to the urban landscape that Bayview residents will find
familiar. In the midst of those changes, when a group "disrupts the
traditional pattern of neighborhood gentrification," Thigpen sees a
powerful new force he calls "block by block creativity."
Similar changes are underway in city neighborhoods all over the country, Thigpen says, including Bayview where Quesada Gardens Initiative neighbors created a garden project that illustrates what is important: "...not the garden, but the gardeners..."
