The Presidio Trust, the National Park Service, and the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy are offering free shuttle service between San Francisco's Bayview Hunters Point neighborhood and the Presidio as part of a Community Shuttle pilot program. The shuttle has run the past three Saturdays, and will be offered again this Saturday, October 26 from 11 am to 5 pm (see ad above).
Visitors to the Presidio can picnic on the sands of Crissy Field Beach, take a walk across the Golden Gate Bridge, learn about the history and nature of the Presidio, take a bike ride, go bowling, participate in family games, visit a museum, learn the basics of camping, or simply enjoy the beauty of your national park.
Bilingual and guided programs, as well as maps and other tools for self-guided exploration are available.
