The Bessies, NYC's premier dance awards honoring outstanding creative work in the field, awarded Joanna Haigood a Bessie for "Outstanding production of a work stretching the boundaries of a traditional form" for her choreography of Paseo.Paseo was produced by Dancing in the Streets and Casita Maria Center for Arts and Education in October 2012 as part of the South Bronx Culture Trail.
Save the date for free "performance installations" from November 1st to the 3rd, 1pm to 5pm at Zaccho Studio (1777 Yosemite), when Joanna and Zaccho Dance Theatre present Between Me and the Other World. The event is part of Art Span's Open Studios.
