The much anticipated Wingstop Chicken Restaurant celebrated its grand opening yesterday at the new 5698
Third Street (at Bancroft) location in San Francisco's Bayview neighborhood.
Wingstop's Facebook announcement kept it real for those who
have been wondering why the storefront sign had been up for so long while the
doors stayed locked.
"I know, I know - It's about damn time, finally, and for real this time!"
The opening day delay was due to issues with the building that have been corrected, according to the owners.

The
new eatery joins other food offerings in a neighbor often referred to
as a "food desert." While health-minded residents and organizers may
not be happy about another fried food restaurant on Bayview's main drag,
many other residents have been anxious to see Wingstop open.
The
Wingstop chain was first established in 1994, and still features
buffalo-style chicken wings cooked to order after being tossed in one of ten flavors of sauces.
