San Francisco school kids may not get even the
occasional day off from school due to snow, a phenomenon known to their
counterparts in more wintery places as "snow days."
But that didn't stop many
Bayview Hunters Point kids from throwing snowballs on Saturday, January 26th on
Mendell Plaza.Snow, five tons of the
stuff, fell (from a delivery truck) early in the day thanks to a Bayview
Opera House organizing effort. Local duo KB and
Danielle performed. Kids stopped throwing snowballs to build a snow man
with Dare 2 Dream teacher and Bayview resident artist
Danielle Satinover.
