Thank you to Mary McClure for capturing some great moments in Bayview on Saturday, December 8th. It was a big day in the neighborhood that included familiar activities such as Quesada Gardens Initiative Every Saturday Volunteer Day, and new events like Indie-Mart at Speakeasy Brewery.
The annual Unity Parade tromped through the heart of the neighborhood, delighting spectators with bands, horses, dancers and more. The parade got some help crossing 3rd Street from smiling traffic officers, and unraveled into a spirited gathering on Mendell Plaza.
All Good Pizza held a children-friendly holiday mixer at the mobile restaurant which makes its usual home on Jerrold Avenue and 3rd Street.
The Bayview Opera House got into the spirit with fun "makeovers" for visitors, while everyone's favorite car club lined vintage cars along the corridor between the Opera House and the Joseph Lee Recreation Center.
