Want pizza? It's All Good!

A new pizza place opened Friday, April 6th in a rehabbed trailer located at 3rd and Jerrold on a once-blighted empty lot.  With that pedigree, All Good Pizza will fit in nicely with the Bayview business landscape.

The business is a labor of love for Kristin Houk and partner Matt (pictured), longtime Bayview Hunters Point residents who live on Hudson.

While creating a small business is never easy, not many entrepreneurs have to remove over 10,000 pounds of garbage and lift three standing violations from the business site before starting the real work.  But Kristin and Matt have done just that with the help of their community. They also weathered dozens of warnings about a fifty pound raccoon that they are happy to report has yet to show up.

Kristin summed it up when she said, "We get lemons, so let's make some damn lemonade!"

That's the All Good spirit.

Update! On Friday, the first day of business, Kristin and Matt reported that they had a rocking couple hours of business, and that their prices are competitive with the Taco Bell/KFC across the street.  They also donated extra kale and arugula to Quesada Gardens Initiative, just down Third Street, so we could feed our volunteers on Saturday.  Thank you!!

"We've lived here a long time," Kristin said last Friday.  "We love our neighborhood, and really wanted to start a business that serves our community."

The All Good Pizza team want nothing less than for their customers to love the food that they love to prepare. They are committed to providing the best possible quality and value for the neighborhood, and hope to expand with an elaborate community garden project.
