Karl Paige Celebrated - Services Scheduled

Community members came together last night to support one another and share stories about the man loved for simple acts of goodness that helped shift the way social change happens in the Bayview. The event was covered by Pat Yollin of the Chronicle, and appeared on the front page of today's Bay Area section.

The coverage included the picture seen here that Karl's son, Rene, took just a week ago in front of the newly completed mural image of Karl. Behind Karl's head is a square that had been left blank for a welcoming message. Just before yesterday's gathering, Santie Huckabie lettered an in memoriam to Karl there.

See today's SF Chronicle article here.

The Paige family has asked that donations go toward funeral expenses, and that they be made as soon as possible. Call 415.822.8082, email jeffrey@quesadagardens.org, or send a check to "Quesada Gardens Initiative" noting "Karl," 1747 Quesada Avenue SF CA 94124
