A throng of Stanford student volunteers traveled to Bayview on Saturday to clear out the Bridgeview Garden lot at Bridgeview and Newhall as residents geared up for the implementation of a new food-producing, educational garden.
Joel and Mary McClure, project leaders who live next to the new garden site, hosted a lunch for students and neighbors to generate excitement and expanded participation.
Some Quesada Gardens Initiative members left the festivities a little early to get to the Crissy Field Center event at the Presidio where the Quesada Gardens Initiative accepted a Community Heroes Award.
It’s a busy time for community-building in the Bayview!
