Crime Down - Moving From the Pain to the Positive

Crime in the neighborhood is down over 22% in the first two months of this year compared with the same time period last year. This statistic comes complements of Capt. Al Pardini of the Bayview station. Capt. Pardini reports that there has been a real shift in the community's willingness to work with law enforcement since the tragic loss of Antwanisha Morgan.

Antwanisha's family has been very public about wanting justice, not revenge, and about turning their personal pain into something positive. Our thoughts continue to be with Antwanisha's family and friends as we hope that a stronger, safer community will be Antwanisha's legacy.

Pictured is Quesada Gardens Initiative co-founder Annette Smith standing by the shrine to Antwanisha Morgan the day after the tragedy.
